Due to the highly exigent environment and the needs of research and development in which Fumbarri’s activities take place and known the compromise with them that the entire Fumbarri team shares, Fumbarri has decided to create an R+D Unit; Innobarri.

The privilege position at the market that Fumbarri has, being a meeting point for customers, research centers, providers and laboratories, which allows us to analyze and resolve innovative challenges together with our partners, offering effective solutions today, to concrete iron heavy casting sector problems.

Fumbarri has equiped Innobarri with state of the art technologies, combining it with our more than 60 year experience. Furthermore, Fumbarri has interiorized Innovation, providing Innobarri with each and every equipment and technician part of Fumbarri, becoming the biggest laboratory that we could desire.

Au fil des années, Fumbarri est devenu un partenaire stratégique de différents centres de recherche, de laboratoires et de centres d’ingénierie et ceci non seulement grâce aux nombreuses possibilités offertes pour tester les nouveaux produits et processus mais aussi à sa mentalité ouverte et innovatrice face aux nouveaux défis.

C’est à cet effet que Fumbarri a reenforcé ses activités de recherche, de développement technologique et d’innovation ; son objectif est de parvenir à des niveaux d’efficacité optimum tout en apportant des solutions aux défis présentés et en misant sur l’innovation en tant que facteur clé de son développement.

  • OPCOL: new copolymer manufacturing optimization, for lost foam castings for the machine tool market.
  • SILIFE: European LIFE Project, with ITC Castellon leadership, for reduction of the Respirable Cristal Silica.
  • HIBRIMOD: Hybrid pattern development, mixing resins and fibre-glass, for sort series of machine tool sector castings.
  • In-mould attachable vacuum system for toxicity reduction during the moulding process.
  • PORFUND: Development of high demanding casting parts for aluminium dies, leader Tecnalia and Lebario as a partner.
  • FENOD: Ductile Iron mechanical characteristics improvement.
  • INNEW: Process improvement for reduction of toxicity.
  • White Room: Lost foam pattern coating improvement in contamination free environment.
  • Air Shower: Worker vacuum cleaning station, maintaining health and safety conditions.
  • ERIAMAT: With Azterlan leadership, analyse and viability of reuse of moulding sands.
